Duncansby Head the UK's most northernly point which has two spectacular sea-stacks, an excellent coastal walk for puffin spotting.
We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to people looking to stay in Thurso! It was recommended to us through the tourist information and they called and booked the last room for us. It is a lovely old home, centrally located, close to the main street and restaurants. Angela was an extremely friendly host and also a great cook for our delicious breakfast. Although there was just the two of us we had the family room on the top floor as it was the last room she had. The bed was so comfortable! And the shower great as well. We did not hear a sound from any of the other guests so the rooms are very sound proof. Loved the sky lights in the bedroom! Internet connection was very much appreciated and worked well. No negative comments, just wished we could have stayed longer and one night!
Stayed here after a recommendation from friends. Angela accommodated us at short notice. Lovely B&B, the lounge/breakfast room has a comfortable settee to relax on.
Stayed in room 4 which was at the top of the house. Spacious room with an excellent shower in the bathroom. Free wifi, which is useful in north Scotland where phone signal and 3G are scarce. Only downside was the thin blind on the velux window which let a lot of light in after 4am. However there is not a lot more you can do with a roof light covering.
Would definitely stay again if in the area.
“What another fantastic stay here at murray house. Very clean and cosy. Fabulous host Angela. Private parking. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast is great. Kelloggs cornflakes too. Thanks for a great holiday. See you soon Sue and phil”
“Just a wonderful relaxed experience, felt more like visiting family than a B&B, host was wonderful and all facilities were perfect. Could not fault this house and I would stay again.Parking was excellent and location.”
